FAQs

This page covers off some of our most frequently asked questions. If your question isn't answered below please email us at [email protected].

Note that we are not currently offering regularly scheduled Zoom classes. If you are interested in corporate wellness programs or private classes please email us at [email protected].
What is HIIT Pilates?
HIIT stands for high intensity interval training. This method of practice combines the core strengthening of Pilates with cardio and fat burning effects of a high intensity workout. What does that mean for you? A 4-minute cardio portion of a HIIT Pilates practice is the equivalent of spending 40 minutes on the treadmill!

What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a slow paced, very gentle form of yoga where postures are held for a longer time than in other styles. Postures may be held from a minute up to five minutes each. Yin Yoga is a restorative practice that allows us to get deep into the connective tissues. It is a great balance to the intensity of the HIIT Pilates practice.

Do you do corporate events?
Yes! Many companies are realizing the benefits of offering virtual wellness programs to their employees and we would happily create a program catering to the specific needs of your organization. Please email us to learn more: [email protected] or visit studiolala.ca/corporate.

Can we hire you to do a private Yin Yoga class for our event?
Yes! We are happy to discuss how we can add a unique element to any type of group event. Just email us for info: [email protected].

How do you accept payment?
We accept e-mail transfers to [email protected] for Canadian payments. We process all international payments through the PayPal portal (note: you don't need to have a PayPal account, you can also use a credit card to pay the PayPal invoice).

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! A virtual or in-person private class with Studio LALA is a great gift for anyone in your life that could use some self care. Just email us for info: [email protected].

Do you do virtual private consultations?
For sure, if you would like to discuss details and arrange a time just email: [email protected].

What if someone is running late to a virtual class or has to leave early?
We know life gets busy and sometimes it is just plain hard to get to class on time. But don’t worry, once the class has started we mute all participants so you won’t be disturbing anyone if you join late or have to nip out a bit early. This is one benefit of attending a virtual class!

Do cameras need to be on during the Zoom classes?
No! If you don't feel comfortable with your camera on we encourage you to turn it off during class. We like it if everyone says hello when they connect to the class so we know who is attending, but once the class starts you are welcome to turn your microphone and camera off.

If a participant is having difficulties can they ask questions during a virtual class?
Yes, you can use the chat function in Zoom to ask a question at any time during class. Lindsey is on the Zoom call five minutes before each class and sticks around afterwards to answer your questions as well.

What if someone doesn't live in Toronto, can they still participate?
Yes! This is one of the advantages of virtual classes, you can log in from anywhere! We have had people attend from all across Canada, the US and even Europe. Note that the base time for any classes will be communicated in Eastern Standard Time, so convert to your local time zone as needed.
